 Objectives of each initiative is detailed below:

<ul><li>
  Africa Disaster Risk Financing Program (ADRiFi): Approved by the Bank’s Board in 2018, ADRiFi enhances resilience and response to climate shocks by improving disaster risk management in Regional Member Countries. It is active in 16 countries, with over $100 million in Bank investment. To date, it has provided sovereign insurance protection to more than 6 million people and strengthened anticipatory climate planning.
 </li>
<li>
  Africa Climate Risk Insurance Framework for Africa (ACRIFA): Building on ADRiFi, ACRIFA aims to mobilize $1 billion in high-risk capital and grants to de-risk private sector investments in climate insurance solutions. It expands protection beyond sovereign risk to meso-level actors and, ultimately, to smallholder producers.
 </li>
<li>
  Agri-Food SME Catalytic Financing Mechanism (ACFM): Capitalized by Government of Canada, ACFM is a $85 million blended finance facility hosted at the Bank. It provides concessional loans and technical assistance to financial and non-financial intermediaries to catalyze investment in gender-oriented and climate-resilient agri-SMEs. The fund has secured three investment approvals as at November 2025.
