•
Valid Class Approvals:
The Shipyard must hold current and valid approvals from internationally recognized classification societies (e.g., Lloyd’s Register, DNV, ABS, Bureau Veritas, etc.) relevant to the type and size of vessels included in this tender. Evidence of such approvals shall be submitted with the bid.
•
Suitable Docking Facilities:
The Shipyard must possess dry-docking or floating dock facilities capable of safely accommodating each nominated vessel type, including compliance with the vessel’s maximum length overall (LOA), beam, draft, and deadweight requirements as specified in Appendix A – Vessel Particulars. The Shipyard shall demonstrate a track record of successfully completing dry-docking, repair, or maintenance projects on vessels of similar type, size, age, and technical complexity within the past five (5) years. Shipyard Responsibility for Vessel Insurance During Yard Stay
8
The shipyard shall assume full responsibility for securing and maintaining adequate marine insurance coverage for the vessel throughout its entire stay at the facility. This obligation begins the moment the vessel enters the shipyard premises whether under its own power, by tug assistance, or during transfer from anchorage and continues uninterrupted through all phases of docking, dry-docking, repair, conversion, lay-up, testing, undocking, sea trials (if conducted within yard-controlled waters), and internal movements within the yard area, until the vessel officially departs (“sails out”) the yard under its own power or under tow, and is no longer under the shipyard’s custody, control, or operational responsibility.
