The Obligation To Submit A Pigss For The Olot Sanitation System Has Been Established Through Resolution Ter/4244/2024, Of November 23, (Dogc 9302, Of December 2, 2024), Of The Director Of The Catalan Water Agency, Which Approves The Inventory Of Public Sanitation Systems That Must Prepare A Comprehensive Management Plan For The Water System Sanitation (Pigss). The Obligation To Draw Up Falls On The Holder Of The Discharge Authorization, In This Case The Regional Council Of La Garrotxa, But All Sanitation Infrastructures (High And Low) Are Included. This Implies Shared Responsibilities In The Same Sanitation System: Garrotxa County Council For The Upstream Network And Each Of The Town Councils With Regard To The Downstream Network That Are Connected To The Upstream System. The Current Public Sanitation System In Olot Is Made Up Of 11 Pumping Stations, 25 Km Of Collector And With The Final Treatment Plant Located In The Ctra. Of The Feixes Of The Municipality Of Olot. The System As A Whole Serves The Following Municipalities: Vall D’En Bas, Les Preses, Olot, Santa Pau, Sant Joan Les Fonts And Vall De Bianya, With 192 Km Of Municipally Owned Sewers. For All The Reasons Stated, It Is Necessary To Contract The Service For The Preparation Of The Olot Comprehensive Sanitation System Management Plan (Pigss), Which Constitutes The Object Of The Contract.
