Description The Administrative Office of the President is established as an independent budgetary unit within the existing government system of the country, under the supervision of H.E the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to work towards transparent, active and corruption-free government operating in accordance with the relevant regulations. The Administrative Office is responsible for coherence and coordination of government affairs; also, providing professional assistance to H.E the President in three branches of the government. It also monitors the implementation of the decisions made by H.E the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the decisions made by the Council of Ministers and its committees and reports the progress to H.E the President. General-Directorate of the AOP plays an active role in creating transparency in government and securing the trust between government and the nation. Duties and Responsibilities The Administrative Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, based on its assigned duties and job description, facilitates H.E the President to enforce his authorities over the three branches of government in accordance to the regulations. According to the regulation, duties of AOP have been summarized, into nine key areas as following: Creating coordination between the three branches of the government Facilitating affairs between all three branches of the government and H.E the president Follow up on the orders and decrees of H.E the President, the cabinet approval and report its results back to the President Overseeing government activities through analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on the three branches of the government and submitting a comprehensive report to the Office of H.E the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Contributing to the implementation of H.E the President's authorities as contained in Articles 64 and 75 of the Constitution Analyzing, evaluating, reviewing and developing the policies of ministries and departments Completion and preparation of documents discussed at the Cabinet meetings Completion and preparation of the documents related to the Cabinet and proceeding Secretarial Affairs If necessary, holding Jirga’s and national programs; pursuing and monitoring their implementation
